A covered pavilion provides a beautiful central gathering space, while the surrounding property offers opportunities to step outside, explore, reflect, celebrate, and reconnect with nature.
The property offers a unique combination of privacy, natural beauty, flexibility, and proximity—a setting that feels away from it all while remaining conveniently located in the Upstate.
The Alma Sanctuary is located in Pelzer, South Carolina, between Greenville and Anderson.

How many people can Alma accommodate?
Our ideal group size depends on the type of gathering, space configuration, and services needed. Tell us about your event and we'll help determine the best setup.
Do I have to use Alma's food and beverage services?
No. Alma Venue allows you to provide your own food, beverages, equipment, décor, and event supplies.
For Alma Hosted and Alma Signature, we can incorporate food and hospitality into your customized package.
Can I bring my own instructor or facilitator?
Absolutely. Hosted by Alma is designed for hosts bringing their own programming, expertise, or vision.
Can Alma provide wellness experiences for my group?
Yes. Depending on availability, we can incorporate yoga, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, Reiki, and other wellness experiences into your gathering.
Can I host an event outside?
Yes. Outdoor spaces may be incorporated into your gathering depending on the event, weather, group size, and property considerations.
Can I bring my own vendors?
Yes. Outside vendors may be permitted depending on the type of event and package. We'll discuss what's needed during the planning process.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out as early as possible, particularly for weekend dates, celebrations, and multi-day gatherings.
Is there a minimum guest count?
Not necessarily. Packages are customized based on the type, duration, size, and needs of your gathering.
Can you create a completely customized experience?
Absolutely.
